Company Registration
1BarDesign Pty Ltd was legally registered in early 2012.
It was nice to finally have a legal entity in existence other than myself. It allowed money to come into a company bank account to be used for business on my end, rather than all of it falling straight into my hands. This lets me keep savings in perspective and pay myself more responsibly, as well as keeping a cap on the tax for any particularly "bursty" years.
The extra paperwork takes its own toll, but does help ensure finances are kept in mind. In a business as risky as this, that's quite important.
